Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for gorilla trekking
This is the most visited National park in Uganda and widely known as the home of mountain gorillas. The park is easily accessible and it is strategically located at the boarder of Uganda and Democratic republic of Congo (D.R.C) found in south western Uganda. The biologically diverse region also provides shelter to a further 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. There are around 350 species of birds hosted in this forest, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics.
Bwindi impenetrable National park hosts almost half of the last remaining population of mountain Gorillas in the whole world which camouflages the tropical forest. The forest is made up of tree species like the Mahogany, Okoume, and Eucalyptus among others. The forest is divided into four gorilla tracking trails and they include; Buhoma Gorilla trail is the busiest tourism site on the northern section of the forest. The trail is locates amidst a variety of accommodation ranging from Budget to Luxury.

Gorilla safari Uganda (3 Days)
Day 1: Hit the road to the home of mountain gorillas
After breakfast from your Hotel in Kampala, our safari guide will transfer you to the home of mountain Gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable National Park.
The journey will take us through central Uganda and after a stop in Mbarara for lunch, we continue on the last stretch through a beautiful landscape of Kabale district also known as the “Switzerland of Africa”: mountains, lakes, hills with cultivated terraces, tropical rainforest and bamboo forest. It is approximately 4-6 hours drive. Dinner and overnight at Wagtail Eco safari camp, Nshongi Gorilla camp or Nkuringo Gorilla camp.
Day 2: Tracking Gorilla in Mist
Breakfast and report for briefing. It is wise to move with your packed lunch, mineral bottled water and tracking gears. Enjoy a life time event of searching for the Gorillas in their natural habitat however; also expect to see other animals and birds to or from the colonies of mountain Gorilla. You will be given a maximum of one hour in the presence of the great apes, take pictures and return to your lodge for relation as your wait for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to, proceed to Entebbe Airport
Morning breakfast is followed by the departure to Kampala. On the way back to the city you will have lunch in Mbarara town, and after Masaka there will be an opportunity to a stop at the Equator for photo shoots and buying souvenirs and have tea or coffee.
